Shannon joined the Adoption & Maternity department at Catholic Charities in October 2008. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her master’s degree in social work from Louisiana State University. In 2008, she completed a 90-hour post-graduate certification program in adoption competence through LSU. In a social work capacity, Shannon previously served as the director of a Baton Rouge educational and residential program for at-risk youth, as a counselor in a Baton Rouge high school health care center, and most recently at Catholic Charities providing direct counseling services to survivors of the hurricanes of 2005. Shannon and her husband are parents to three children through adoption. |
