The Maternity and Adoption Program fulfills this mission by seeking families and resources for children.
The Heart Gallery presents children who are in the custody and care of the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. In partnership with DCFS, Catholic Charities is advocating and recruiting for family resources, mentors, encouragers, and prayers for the children listed in the Heart Gallery. Armond
Armond is a handsome ten year old with dark hair and brown eyes. He is a very active young man who enjoys playing sports. His favorite sports are basketball and football. Armond is in the 4th grade in regular education. He maintains above average grades. His teacher describes him as a bright young man who learns easily. Armond is interested in attending college. Armond also enjoys eating. His favorite foods are pizza and hamburgers.
Armond would thrive in a two parent, well structured home that demonstrates unconditional love and patience as he transitions into a new environment. He would also like a family that would allow him to remain connected with his siblings.
Dabryson
Dabryson is a handsome twelve year old. He is quiet and soft spoken and wants to be included in whatever is going on. Dabryson enjoys the outdoors, sports, and playing his Nintendo DS.
His favorite sports are basketball and football. Dabryson's favorite food includes hamburgers and snacks. Dabryson would thrive well in a home with lots of structure.
Juan
Juan is a friendly, active and well-mannered ten year old who loves McDonald’s hamburgers and vanilla ice cream. Some of Juan's other favorite foods include crawfish, bar-b-que chicken, and noodles.
Juan is still a kid at heart and enjoys playing with toys and riding his bicycle. He likes to watch television especially cartoons. Spiderman is one of his all time favorites. He also loves playing his Nintendo DS. Juan is pretty responsible when it comes to doing chores. He makes his bed and brings out the trash. Juan is in the fourth grade and maintains above average grades in school. Juan would prefer to be adopted by a two-parent family.
Nicholas
Nicholas is a handsome thirteen year old male. He has a charming personality and does not mind having fun all by himself. Nicholas has a ball when helping outdoors. He loves working with his hands to build and fix things.
Nicholas is a fourth grade student and is well liked by his teacher. Nicholas wants to be placed in a family where he can get lots of love and attention.
Wilfred
This adorable 4-year-old little boy is Wilfred. His caretaker describes him as friendly, energetic, and inquisitive. Wilfred is an affectionate child who loves to give and receive lots of hugs and kisses. He enjoys the outdoors, playing football, riding his bike, playing with his trucks and, when the weather permits, swimming. Wilfred also loves to watch cartoons. Barney gets his attention and he loves to participate in the children’s sing a long songs. Like most children, Wilfred’s favorite food is a hamburger and fries, while never refusing a good ole home cooked plate of red beans and rice.
Enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten, Wilfred is making great strides in his educational and emotional development. He may not master a concept the first time, but he is eager to try again. According to Wilfred’s caretaker, he is a well-mannered child who sometimes needs to be redirected to keep him on task. This handsome little boy is sure to melt the heart of his forever family. Wilfred’s forever family will give him lots of love, stability, and nurturing.
